1. Mục đích.
- Giới thiệu chương trình sách giáo khoa và các bài kiểm tra 45 phút và học kỳ trong năm học.
2. Nội dung.
- 16 đơn vị bài học.
+ Kỳ 1: - Unit 1 – unit 8 ( tiết 1 – tiết 42) (4 written tests: fifteen – minute tests & forty - five - minute tests)
- Revision (tiết 45 - 51)
- 45 minute test – Term I & test correction (tiết 52 - 53)
+ Kỳ 2: - Unit 10 – unit 16 ( tiết 54 – tiết 97) (4 written tests: fifteen – minute tests & forty - five - minute tests)
- Revision (tiết 98 - 103)
- 45 minute test – Term II & test correction (tiết 104 - 105)
* Tự chọn: 9 tiết trong năm học 2016 – 2017 (kỳ 1)

I. Aims: After the lesson, students can be able to:
- Scan for the specific information about family
- Acquire some vocabulary items about family
- Develop speaking skill by telling about their family

- Ask sts to look at the picture in their book & raise questions:
- Lead in the lesson.
- Get sts to skim the passage & guess the meaning of the new words.
- Present some new words and phrases in the text
- Guide reading the new words
- Call on some ss to read.
- Give correction about the sts’s pronunciation
- Checking technique by“rub out and remember”.
- Look at the picture in their book & answer the questions
(Ss’answers may vary)
- Listen.
- Skim the passage & guess the meaning of the new words.
- Listen and write on the notebooks
- Read the new words in chorus after the teacher
- Read aloud in front of the class
- Do after listening to the teacher’ instruction.

B. PROCEDURE.
I- Pre – reading.
* Questions:
+ How many people are there in the picture?
+ Who are they?Do you think they are a family?
+ What are they doing?
+ Where is the family?
*Suggested answers:
+ There are 4.
+ They are parents and children
+ Yes, they are a family
+ The father is playing with the son and the mother is helping her daughter with her study.
+ The family is at home
* Vocabulary pre – teach:
+ shift (n): ca trực
+ to join hands (v): = work together cùng nhau, hợp sức
+ caring (a): quan tâm tới người khác
+ rush to the market (v): vội vã ra chợ
+ give a hand (v): giúp một tay
+ household chore (n): việc nhà
+ mischievous (a): = playful tinh nghịch, ranh mãnh
+ close-knit (a): gắn bó với nhau
+ take the responsibility for doing sth: có trách nhiệm làm việc gì đó.
+ tobe willing to do sth: sẵn sàng làm gì đó

- Ask sts to read the passage in 5 mins.
- Ask sts to work in groups of 4 in 4mins to do task 1.
- After 4mins, ask some of presenters to give their answers.
- Ask if other groups agree or not.
- Check the answers with the whole class by explaining the key words when neccesary:
+ “Men build the house and women make it home”: (translation)
- Ask ss to read carefully the questions in 1’.
- Check sts’ understandings of the questions.
- Ask sts to work in pairs in 5’ to read through the passage again & try to set the position for the answer of each question first.
- Call on some pairs to give the answers
