I. Pronunciation /str/ - /skr/ - /skw/
1. There was a strong man on the street at night .
2. The strong man looked very strange .
3. He was holding an ice-cream in one hand, and a rubber doll in the other hand.
4. The man was eating the ice-cream , squeezing the doll and it was squeaking .
5. The man was screaming while walking to the square .
6. Nobody knew why he was doing the strange things

Exercise1 - Ex1: The diamond ring is very expensive.
It was bought by my mother last week.
-> The diamond ring which (that) was bought
by my mother last week is very expensive.
+ Note: - We can’t omit “which, that” because they
are the subjects of relative clauses.
- But we can reduce them like this:
-> The diamond ring bought by my mother last week is very expensive.
EX2: I like the diamond ring. Mary is wearing it.
-> I like the diamond ring which (that) Mary is wearing.

->I like the diamond ring Mary is wearing it.
( Wrong sentence : it )
Note : We can omit relative pronouns “which, that, whom and who” when they are Objects of defining relative clauses.
