Chắcchắn / LạcQuan/ ĐángNgờ/Bi Quan
1- certain[`sə:tn] (of / about sth; that ...) having no doubt in your mindabout something: chắcchắn
He`s not certain what her name is.
I`m certain (that) doesn`t like me.
She doesn`t like me - I`m certain of it.
2- sure[∫uəof / about sth; that ...)certain: chắcchắn
Are you sure (that) he said he was coming?
It was him,who caused the accident, I`m sure of it.
Have you got amap? I`m not quite sure about the way.
3-to make certain / sure :a-(of sth / that ...) to check in order to be certain: làmchochắcchắn; đảmbảochắcchắn.
He looked all around to make certain that nobody waslistening.
I think this is your train but you`d better ask theguard to make sure (of it).
b- (of sth / of doing sth / that ...) to do something in order to be certain of victory:
