THE BIOSPHERE
The biosphere, surrounding all living things and their environments, is not a distinct sphere but
integrates parts of the lithosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere. Life exists in oceans, continents,
and atmosphere, with examples including birds, insects, and airborne bacteria. Bacteria have even
been found in rock 1.7 miles underground.
The biosphere significantly impacts Earth's chemistry and geologic processes. It is believed to

coal and oil deposits. It also regulates the planet's temperature.
Photosynthesis, converting sunlight, water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen and

animals. After death, these creatures become part of the lithosphere, with some gases released into the
atmosphere or hydrosphere.
Scientists have discovered ecosystems independent of sunlight, such as hydrothermal vent
communities in the deep ocean. These vents emit hot water and sulfur dioxide gas, which
chemoautotrophs use to produce food. Other creatures, like tube worms, store bacteria in their bodies
and consume their energy. Deep underground rocks may contain bacteria that use hydrogen from
water broken down by nuclear radiation.
Biologists have recently proposed a new kingdom called Archaea for microorganisms inhabiting
extreme environments, such as very hot or salty conditions. These organisms, called archaeans, have
led scientists to speculate that life could exist beneath Mars' surface or in Jupiter's
moon Europa's deep, ice-covered oceans.

I have learnt English for six years and I usually find it challenging to learn its vocabulary. Here
