Cao Bang is in the north of Vietnam. A lot of families live on rice farms. The farms are far from town so the children walk a long way to school. They have lessons in the mornings and they help their parents in the afternoons. They are very good students.
Mai is a student in Cao Bang. She lives on a farm in the mountains. It is far away from the town. She walks for an hour to get to school. She has lessons in the mornings then she goes home and helps parents on the field in the afternoons. Finally, she does homework in the evenings. Some of her friends live ten kilometers away from her.
